The vision for Economic Development in the Township of Scugog is guided by the Growing North Durham Economic Development Plan 2023-2027 (The Plan).

On November 25, 2019, Council endorsed the Recommended Community Improvement Plan (CIP) for the Port Perry Employment Area. CIPs are living strategies that guide the revitalization of communities through programs, grants and incentives.
Projects
The Township delivers many roads, infrastructure and environmental projects often with the help of partnerships with the Province, Durham Region, Conservation Authority and expertise from Advisory Committees. Large projects are communicated online at scugog.ca/projects.
